Although I post images on my website of all the car shows we go to, sometimes I send extended coverage to HOT ROD HOT LINE. To visit their website, click on their logo above or to go directly to our images, go to hotrodhotline.com/leal-brothers.

After a very long delay, I finally posted my final "Cruise Night" images from 2019. Check out my "RODDING" page for images from the weekly Saturday Night Cruise from Kemah, Texas. Can't wait for the 2020 Cruise Nights to begin.

As I posted on my last update, the Houston Coffee & Cars event will not be held in February and March due to several "incidents" that occurred while vehicles were leaving the event after the January gathering. I've been covering rodding and racing events for almost 50 years and I just can't figure out how people can enjoy such an event and then put it's existence in jeopardy. Believe me.....Police have "zero tolerance" for this behavior. They will shut it down people; they will! I guess if they do, you can go back and hang out in a Randall's parking lot!

Here's something new, for me anyway. The Texas based MONSTER TRUCK WARS is hosting an event in nearby Wharton (60 miles southwest of Houston) this coming March. Four Monster Trucks (above), Stadium Trucks and Monster Truck rides will be offered with a $10 general admission charge or VIP seating and Pit Party for $25. I used to attend indoor Monster Truck shows in the Astrodome when I was younger but haven't in awhile so maybe I'll swing by and check out "Truck Wars".

Mecum Auctions just completed their first auction of 2020 with their 10-day event in Kissimmee, Florida. My "draw" to the event was several legendary drag racing vehicles that I grew up with but most of the attention was the offering of the "BULLITT" Mustang driven by Steve McQueen in the movie. Below I've posted several auction results.

I mentioned in the Mecum Auction results above that I grew up with some of the legendary drag racing vehicles being offered and here are some of my own pictures taken during the time. Check out the bottom row of Mecum Auction vehicles and compare them to mine. The Bill Jenkins Vega Pro Stock was taken at Green Valley Race City. Tommy Ivo added a Buick station wagon body on his "Showboat" dragster and I caught it, also at Green Valley, on it's only ever Texas visit. My oldest picture above is the "Little Red Wagon" taken at Houston International Raceway in Dickinson just south of Houston. I also added a picture of the late Ronnie Sox posing with one of the Sox & Martin Barracudas (right). Incidentally, all of the images are posted on my "RACING" page.
