Although I post images on my website of all the car shows we go to, sometimes I send extended coverage to HOT ROD HOT LINE. To visit their website, click on their logo above or to go directly to our images, go to hotrodhotline.com/leal-brothers.
My brother covered a BAYOU CITY CUP SERIES event at Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers here in Pearland a couple of weekends ago. The series is year-long with a points system in place leading to the crowning of a Champion at year's end. 2021 marks their seventh year. Enjoy the Pearland images below.

After cancellations and rescheduling back in 2020, the NHRA is up and running with only minor changes so far. May brings them to Houston (Baytown) for the NHRA Spring Nationals.,

Reposting my just purchased (Ebay) fitted cap of the Bowling Green Hot Rods Minor League Baseball Team.
Reposting an image of "MEGATRON" that was just featured on the Google search page. 1972 Impala "Donk" on 30" wheels, with Nitrous putting out 1400hp.
Last update I posted a few images of this 1934 Ford Vicky that was originally owned by famed guitarist Eddie Van Halen. More images were posted recently including the engine, the Jaguar rear end and more of the leather interior (all below). Rod is currently up for bid starting at $100,000.
I never did get into R/C (Radio Control) cars but when I saw the newest release from TRAXXAS (above) on several internet sites, I decided to check it out. DRAG SLASH is their take on a 1967 Chevy C10 Resto Mod and you can't argue with its looks and stance. Wheel tubs, M/T ET Drag Slicks, Weld Racing Wheels and Wheelie Bar(s) are all nicely done.
While checking the internet, I came across a similar C10 I'm assuming was already released as was the posted 1969 Nova (both below). Although I've known about TRAXXAS for years, I never knew it was based here in Texas (McKinney). We also had a large R/C Race Park in southwest Houston but it closed a few years ago.
Ever since the Pandemic hit, I of course haven't been covering car shows so I've been using the "down time" to share some of my old images. Besides posting them here on my site, I've also joined a handful of Private Facebook Groups and am posting images there. Below are images I've shared recently on Straight Axle USA and GROUND POUNDING Funny Cars. Below that are ads from Gassers and Drag Racing Cars and Parts For Sale. Although I usually pass on complete cars, rollers or projects, they also post parts for sale.

TEXAS SHOWDOWN / 2009
1938 - 2006
If my admission ticket to the IHRA Cajun Nationals at State Capitol Dragway in Baton Rouge, LA (left) cost me $22.00 back in 1991 (30 years ago), what year did I purchase the $3.00 ticket at Houston International Speedway? My guess would be the late '60s.
